What is Borrow Payback Transaction?
Eventually, when the material for the Project B comes in , there is a Project payback transaction that is done to give the material back to Project A. The cost in both cases hit the respective projects based on the cost of the lending project
Ans: In a Project Manufacturing scenario, there are often material that was bought
on a PO for Project A. However the Project A does not need it in the next 15
days, and a work order of Project B needs the same item right away.
In such a
situation, instead of waiting for the item to arrive later, for Project A, we
use the Project Borrow transaction where the Project B borrows the material
from Project A with an intent of returning it at a later date ( Payback).
In this
situation we use the Project Borrow from B to A with a tentative Payback date.
when you query, you can see a list of all the items that need to be Paid Back
