Can I search person in local language?
The user can use the following configuration to search in Japanese (or any other language):
There’s an option in FND_PROFILES for any given user to set their language (E.g. Japanese) and the application would now search for the local name in that language. The only shortcoming here is that it limits the user to only one option at a time, they can either search on global or local names. Not both at once.
Process to set the user settings:
a. Log in to FSM as an HR Specialist.
b. Search for and go to the "Manage Workforce Records Profile Option Values" task.
c. Add the profile option value: HR_LOCAL_OR_GLOBAL_NAME_FORMAT with appropriate language code.
