How to reserve quantities at the time of sales order booking?
From the Sales Order Line, kindly go to Tools>>Scheduling>>Reserve. This will reserve the sales order line You can also go to
Tools>>Scheduling>>Reservation Details to reserve from a specific sub inventory as well
Please note that the line should be scheduled first to be able to do the reservation
System Parameter : Reservation Time Fence to a value say 5 or even 365. This will ensure that the sales order line automatically reserves the quantity on scheduling the line, provided the quantity is available
(Navigation: Setup>>System Parameters>>Values>>Look for Reservation Time Fence in the scheduling parameters category)
