Issue:
Back order is not relieving the Reservation on Sales Order
While Importing Orders using OE API- After Back order the reserved Sales Order,The reserved qty is still outstanding over the Order.

Resolution:
The reservation will only be removed from a backordered delivery detail if the reservation was created during the pick release process. If reservations were created prior or manually from Reservations form, they will not be deleted.
Reason being when manual reservations are created and the line is pick released, if the inventory controls required for Pick release may not match, then the line could get backordered.
But in this case the reservations created prior to pick release should not be deleted.
Again you can reserve the same Qty by selecting theSO Line -> Right Click -> Scheduling -> Reserve.
