Cause
The item being released was lot controlled and the lot selected for pick release was expired. This is standard functionality; pick release cannot pick any quantity from an expired lot.
Solution:
1. Procure stock of the item with a valid lot number; or specify a different lot number as the lot for pick release. You can source from a different lot by doing the following:

- Navigate to the Sales orders form.
- In the Line items tab, at the top of the form, select schedule->reservation details
- Select a different lot for the reservation, for the item being shipped.
