The navigation is:
Inventory > Setup > Org > Hierarchy The program is used is : Close Period Control concurrent program
This is a batch process that runs and closes the periods based on the Large Org Hierarchy that has been established for the instance. The process will run for the Hierarchy which uses INV_MGD_SRS_HIERARCHY_WITH_ORIGIN.
This process can only be run though if the Large Organization Structure has been implemented for the organizations.
