To participate in sourcing negotiations, suppliers must meet specific criteria and standards for doing business. This may include demonstrating financial viability and agreeing to adhere to certain codes of conduct.
Your evaluation of these requirements will determine a supplier's eligibility to participate in sourcing, enabling you to manage risks and enforce policies effectively. This eligibility assessment can be referenced during sourcing and can be conducted both when the supplier first registers and through subsequent assessments over time.
Suppliers can still be qualified after onboarding. Only those deemed eligible can engage in sourcing negotiations within a procurement Business Unit (BU). If no BU-level eligibility is established, the supplier's participation is based on their default eligibility. A supplier's sourcing eligibility remains active until their next reassessment, ensuring continuous participation in sourcing activities without any gaps, even if the initial assessment has expired.
